Girls That Rock

I know I know I am beyond terrible at keeping up with this thing... Lots of times I debate just deleting it then I think of something awesome to blog about... This post is going to look at girls in the music industry that totally kick ass. The music industry has always been dominated by males, and females would only gain recognition by selling sex. Look at Madonna, Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, of course most of them have actual talent but for the most part they have maintained a career by selling sex. Chicks in bands have really gone unnoticed and are under appreciated. I have numerous of friends who will not listen to a band that has a female lead singer. Despite the fact that if a girl is in a band is soo extremely hott, female rockers should be recognized because they completely have to work harder to get where they are. I have composed a list of several amazing and talented female bands or bands that are lead by females. I will discuss a little bit about the band, type of music, songs to download, and what not. I hope you can take the time out to check them out!

Hey Monday
Hey Monday is a power pop-punk band that is lead my the absolutely adorable Cassadee Pope. They are relatively new they were only formed in 2008, and released their debut album "Hold On Tight" in 2008. They have two singles off their album, the first single which put them into mainstream was "Homecoming" followed by the release of their second single "How You Love Me Know". Hey Monday is super catchy with simple melodies that are easy to get stuck in your head. Cassadee Pope isn't anything out of the ordinary but she's super cute!
You can check out Cassadee on twitter: http://twitter.com/heycassadee
Hey Monday's official website: http://www.heymondaymusic.com/us/home
Songs to check out: "Obvious" "6 Months" "Homecoming" and "Set Off"

Paramore
I would imagine that everyone has heard of Paramore or at least heard of one of their songs. Paramore lead by the beautiful Hayley Williams was founded in 2004 and is best an alternative punk band. They released their first album, "All We Know is Falling" in 2005. This album is amazing. Their sound is raw and Hayley really established herself as a punk girl that was different from the rest of the female artists. Unfortunately, "All We Know is Falling" didn't put Paramore on the map and they still remained relatively undergroup. Their sophomore album "RIOT" I consider total sell-out. Haley went total pop with catchy moronic songs like "Misery Business". True Paramore fans were left disappointed. However, their third album "Brand New Eyes" went back to their punk rock roots and Paramore found themselves back to what original fans loved them for. Hayley is a little spitfire and holds her own in a genre that is dominated by males. She was #2 on the list of hottest female singers.
Check out Haley on twitter: http://twitter.com/YELYAHWiLLiAMS

Songs to Check out: "Pressure" "Decode" "Ignorance" "Misguided Ghosts" "My Heart"

Tegan and Sara
Tegan and Sara are an indie rock/indie pop duo of Canadian identical lesbian twins. Tegan and Sara have become the poster children for lesbian rockers. They have released 6 albums, with "Sainthood" being their most recent. Outside of the gay community Tegan and Sara are relatively unknown. Their sound is unique but their lyrics are complex and stunning. Every song perfectly depicts human emotion and is extremely easy to relate to your life, gay or straight. I love listening to them when I'm relaxing and sometimes I will just get lost in thought.

Songs to Check out: "Walking With A Ghost" "Hell" "Back in Your Head" "Call it Off"

Amanda Palmer
Amanda Palmer is one of those uniquely talented people that will just completely scare people away. She is an alternative rock punk cabaret singer that is not very popular in the music world. Her lyrics are borderline strange and the subject matter of her songs may completely turn people off. But Amanda Fucking Palmer, is truly fucking amazing. She can play almost any instrument you can think of, and is no stranger to shocking her audience. The openly bisexual artist is not afraid to push the envelope. As part of the duo The Dresden Dolls she released 5 albums and as a solo artist release "Who Killed Amanda Palmer?" in 2008

Check out: "Girl Anachronism" "Bad Habit" "Oasis" "Runs in the Family"

Lacuna Coil
Lacuna Coil is an Italian Gothic metal band fronted by the stunning Cristina Scabbia. Cristina is one of few women in metal and is def one of the hottest. This band has been around for over a decade and with each album they change their sound just a little bit but still stay true to their gothic roots. The mix female and male melodies with strong bass lines and complex keyboards. This is one band that will have you hooked from the moment you hear them. The gothic metal genre often scares people away, but their sound isn't heavy and is worth giving a try.
Follow Cristina on Twitter: http://twitter.com/NoDamnH
Website: http://www.lacunacoil.it/
Songs: "Fragile" "Our Truth" "Fragments of Faith" "In Visible Light"

The Material
The Material is a brand new post punk band lead by Colleen D'Agostino. They released their first EP "Tomorrow" in 2007 and just release their second EP "To Weather the Storm" in 2009. The Material still has no set to record or release a full-length album, they have still made a name of themselves. Colleen has one of the best voices out of the other punk rock bands mentioned. She is able to carry the band of her voice alone. I am in anticipation for a full length album hopefully it will come soon!
This band is so unknown they don't even have an official website but here is their myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/thematerial
Songs: "Moving to Seattle" "The Long Way Home" "The Promise"

Uh Huh Her
Uh Huh Her is my favorite band ever! This indie electropop band was formed in 2007 and consists of Camila Grey and the love of my life Leisha Hailey. They released their one and only album "Common Reaction" in 2008 and are currently in the studio recording their follow up album. I am absolutely in love with this band. I can absolutely listen to their CD every single day, without it getting old. I haven't heard many bands with their sound that I actually liked but I can't get enough. Leisha Hailey, an openly out lesbian, some may know from playing the quirky bisexual Alice Pieszecki on the Showtime hit The L Word.
Follow them on Twitter: http://twitter.com/UhhuhHerMusic
Official Website (that they never update): http://www.uhhuhher.com/
Songs: "Common Reaction" "Covered" "Not a Love Song" "Dreamer"

Lady GaGa
It is impossible to turn on a radio, the tv, or look on the internet without seeing something about Lady GaGa. In 15 months Lady GaGa has completely taken over. You either love her or you hate her but you can not deny the fact that she has done something not many have done. She has four #1 singles off of her debut album "The Fame" being the only person since Michael Jackson to do so. Off of her follow up CD "The Fame Monster" already has one #1 single. I love Lady GaGa, openly bisexual, more for just her music. She falls into the same pop category as many but is nothing like the rest. What sets her apart is her unwillingness to be like everyone else. She is always criticized for dressing all sorts of crazy, but her message is loud and clear. Be who you are and embrace your inner freak. Hearing GaGa talk, she is extremely well spoken and brilliant. She doesn't back down and stands up for what she believes in. Like many, at first I was like who the hell is this crazy person? But now I can't get enough and I may have a mini obsession with her. She is an amazing artist who pushed boundaries with her overly artistic performances. Lady GaGa took the world by storm and I don't see it letting up anytime soon!
Follow her on Twitter: https://twitter.com/ladygaga

Tsunami Bomb
Tsunami Bomb, even though they broke up in 2005, will always have a piece of my heart. This punkrock band lead my Agent M (Emily Whitehurst) never became mainstream but their music is amazing and deserve to still live on. Tsunami Bomb and Agent M showed me that girls can totally kick ass in the punk rock sounds. Listening to them really opened me up to female rockers. Before them I kinda was like eh girls in rock music just aren't as good they don't go as hard. Agent M proved me wrong. If anything Agent M rocks harder than most men.
Website: http://www.myspace.com/tsunamibomb
Songs: "Dawn on a Funeral Day" "Say It If You Mean it" "Not Forever" "Take The Reigns" "My Machete"

The Veronicas
The Veronicas are Australian sisters Jessica and Lisa Origliasso, formed in 2004. The Veronicas are described as pop punk and electropop. These sisters are super hott and they songs are super catchy. I will listen to them once and be singing them for the rest of the day. The released two albums, their debut album "The Secret Life" and "Hook Me Up". The Veronicas do use their sexuality to draw fans but they have the talent to back in up. Jessica has been labeled as a bisexual but who knows if thats legit. Their sound isn't original but their songs are fun.
Twitter: Jessica: http://twitter.com/JeSsIcAvErOnIcA Lisa: http://twitter.com/Lisa_Veronica
Website: http://www.theveronicas.com/
Songs: "Revenge is Sweeter Than You Ever Were" "When It Falls Apart" "Leave Me Alone" "Someone Wake Me Up"

My Goodbye to Becky...

I don't think i can put into words what exactly I'm feeling right now. I would read/watch the news everyday to listen to an awful tragedy, another murder, but it was all so distant and disconnected. You just think wow shit is fucked up I feel for the family and the people close to them, but when it directly affects you and when its someone you care and love so deeply no word can describe the overwhelming sadness or indescribable anger. Its all so unreal, and I still find myself thinking did this really just happen?

I can go into an angry rant about how fucked up society is and how I don't understand it and why did they have to do this. But I'm not gonna do that. I need to deal with the hurt and not turn it into anger. I've dealt with most hardships in my life by making myself numb to it and by trying to play off the its ok I'm strong I'm going to get myself through this. I know now the important of feeling the pain and just dealing with it instead of hiding it deep inside.

Becky and I dated for close to 4 months, which may not seem like that long but its quality and quantity. I fell hard and quick. She was the first girl that I ever fell in love with. Of course I had other girlfriends before her but nothing was like what I felt with Becky. So I decided the best way right now I know how to deal with this is to write a letter to Becky saying goodbye. I never got to say goodbye and tell her how much i love her and how much she means to me. I have no idea how long this maybe because even right now I'm not exactly sure what to say but I need it be out there.

Dear Becky,
I still remember the first time I ever met you. Thinking about it now it feels like so long ago. I guess because we grew so close so quick. You have this aura about you that makes it almost impossible to not love you. You are one of the most trusty person I think I ever met you have such a huge open heart that is rare to find in most people. But I loved the spit fire in you, you never let anyone talk shit to you and you were always the first one to stand up for people when you felt their were treated wrong. I loved when the little "g" side in you would come out when you got mad I honestly thought it was the cutest thing to see this little 110 pound girl going off talking in your ebonics. It would make me laugh every time. I truly envy your strength, knowing what you went through your struggles and your hard times to be the strong person that you are. The strength and courage you had to overcome an addiction to deal with people constantly letting you down and to still be positive and knowing that you are gonna get your life back and do things your way always amazed me. I wish to have as much strength as you had to my own life. I could go on and on about all the amazing qualities you possessed but I wouldn't want to give you anymore of an ego :D. You are one the most beautiful people I got the pleasuring of getting to know I wish you saw and understood how beautiful you really were.

Going back to the first time we met, I remember seeing you looking at me I was constantly looking over my shoulder cause I was convinced you were looking at someone else. I was like damn this girl is soo out of my league. But you came over to I was like holy shit! One of biggest things I remember this night was you making me promised a good 5-6 times that I was gonna call you the next day. You didn't have to make me promise because I was planning on it. Going over your house that first night I was so nervous! I didn't know what to expect. I loved how you had no problem showing how you felt infront of people. You didn't care if it made people uncomfortable and I liked that you didn't fear what people would say about it. It was refreshing to be with someone who was so comfortable about how they felt.

The night I finally got the balls to ask you out, let me tell you I wanted to do it for days but I was so nervous. You were the first person I ever asked out, I was always asked. I had no idea what to say I was so afraid of coming across like a total dork which I know I did anyways. I knew that you liked me but I was still so anxious. But I will never forget the way your face lit up after I asked you.

Another one of my favorite memories was when we went the NYC Pride Parade. It was both of our first time ever going and I'm so glad I got to share it with you. Just going there on the train ride when we got the dirtiest look from that older woman when she saw us holding hands, how you got so mad that people would look at us like that. The parade itself was amazing. I remember just looking at you and seeing how happy you were you had the biggest smile on your face. You have the most beautiful smile.

Ah 4th of July. I think from the first day we hung out you mentioned that I had to come with you to your aunt's house for 4th of July. At least 4 times a week you would ask me again if I was going to go with you up until that day. I wouldn't have missed it for the world. It was funny having to sneak off just so we could kiss because your aunt was freaked out about it. I felt like I was in middle school all over again.

I will never forget the first time I told you that I loved you. It took me a couple of days to finally say it to you even though I felt it for a while before I said it. I just didn't know how to say it or the perfect time to say it. But I also knew that we both felt it and it was there before it was even said. It was so real.

I remember the first time you ever came to watch me play beach volleyball and after the game we convinced you just play around with us. It was so funny trying to see you play, the key word would be try. Sports totally not your thing and I was laughing so hard every time you tried to hit the ball and you would totally miss. Hunny, stick to art cause athletics isn't your calling. But its cute watching you try.

I think I could go on and on about Pennsylvania. I was nervous about spending a whole week away with just the two of us. The whole "playing house" think kinda freaked me out I'm not gonna lie. But I feel like that trip made me realize that I was so in love with you. I loved having you there with me all the time, falling asleep with you waking up with you. It was an amazing time. From almost setting the smoke alarm off to meeting those army guys the last night to going horse back riding (which scared the shit out of me!). Everything was amazing. I think the trip made me realize that I could see myself with you for a really long time.

I loved when you came to my volleyball games. I loved after a great point I would look up into the stand and see you there cheering louder than everyone and you just looked so proud and so happy to be there. I knew you had no idea what was going on (you can't fool me) but it was cute that you were so supportive. You will always be my #1 fan! My teammates would come up to me after every game being like Becky is soo cute she is so proud of you. I was so fortunate to have someone so supportive there for me. I was always so proud to have you as my girlfriend!

One of the last things is all the times you made me go to Kelly's. Just so you know I hated Kelly's. I would go for you because I knew how much you loved going there especially on Karaoke night. I wish I was able to drag you up to there to sing but you never would (chicken!). It was so bizarre every time we walked in everyone was like BECKY!! You were the freakin rock star of that place. Everyone loved you.

The 4 months we spent together were amazing and I don't regret anything. I want you to know that I still love you so much, you still mean the world to me, and you will always have a piece of me. The memories I will always cherish (and the scars which is still there from the umm shower we won't go there ;)). You have taught me so much about myself and I will never forget that. You went way to early and in such tragedy. But Becky please remember that I will always love you. Goodbye babydoll...

Forever and Always
~Natalie

I will always love you

Question 1 and my issue with conservatives

With the recent momentum push in favor of Gay Rights Maine's vote on Question 1 seemed like gay rights had the best shot of gay marriage being voted legal by the voters. Every other time gay marriage has been placed on the ballot it has lost I think the record is like 0-30, not very impressive. But with the passing of The Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crime Prevention Act that extended the definition of hate crimes to include those based on sexual orientation gay activists and with Obama's speech at the HRC the eve of the National Equality March at Washington where he promised to repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and The Defense of Marriage Act, many felt that voters would vote in favor of gay rights. Well unfortunately in the disappointment of all gay supporters that was not the case. Gay rights lost at a larger margin that Prop 8 in Cali.

Question 1 asked voters to vote in the recent law that legalized same-sex marriage should be repealed. Vote yes and same-sex marriage becomes illegal vote no and the law stands. Here is my first issue with this whole voting thing. Around the Summer Maine's legislation passed the act to legalize same-sex marriage. People VOTE to have their views REPRESENTED in Congress. So why are we VOTING on a law that is passed by congressmen that YOU put there??? It doesn't make sense to me.

Secondly, I had no idea that if enough people BITCHED enough that you can try to get a law repealed. So next time Congress passes any law I bet you can find enough people to bitch about it and then maybe we can vote to get it changed.

I don't understand WHY people are voting on equality when that should already be GUARANTEED by the state and our country. This is for all you religious people, if God made people as an image of himself, and if gay people are people, than didn't god make gay people because wouldn't god himself have same-sex tendencies?? I dunno just think about it. But really who says that heterosexual people are better than homosexual people? Prove this to me please. We are the same we look the same we act the same we want the same things out of life the only difference is who we are sleeping with. And don't pull the whole homosexuality isn't natural shit because their are more species of animals that practice same-sex sexual behaviors then just heterosexual sexual behaviors.

I thought there was suppose to be a complete separation of church and state? Didn't our founding fathers come here for religious freedom? So please stop throwing your religious bullshit at me as a reason to ban same-sex marriage. We are all not bible loving freaks and we don't all practice the same religion so get your Catholic bullshit out of public policy. When legislature passes laws it isn't based on religious values but when you leave voting up to the people well you allow their reasoning to be based on bias and religious beliefs. I feel bad for you if you really truly believe its okay to deny people fundamental rights. How would you feel if you weren't allowed to marry the person you were in love with? And i'm sorry just because the Bible says a marriage is between ONE MAN and ONE WOMAN does not mean its true. First of all the Bible is a book of FICTION. Second, the Bible also says that is ok to have slaves and that its ok to kill homosexuals. So it's safe to say we don't follow the Bible word for word. Please point out to me where in the CONSTITUTION (the thing that we base our laws off of for you dumb Christian people) that it says marriage is between a man and a woman. I'm pretty sure their once was a time when interracial marriage was illegal. And I'm pretty sure the decision Loving v. Virginia decision stated that an INDIVIDUAL had to right to marry whom ever they wanted because marriage is a fundamental right that is protected by DUE PROCESS. I think Christian people should look up what that means.

This is my last point I promise. Regardless of religion and politics let me ask you this... Does is really affect you in any way shape or form who I marry? And why do YOU get to choose who I marry? How does that make sense? Why don't YOU worry about YOUR life and I'll worry about MINE! Wow that doesn't make any sense at all! If YOU don't like it well FUCK YOU but stay the FUCK out of MY life... YOUR BELIEFS and YOUR BULLSHIT shouldn't DENY anyone of their fundamental rights. We are a country based that value the rights of citizens but we also are very quick to deny those basic rights to minority groups. There is this thing called EQUALITY. Look it up and then when you deny someone of certain rights don't tell me its ok or its EQUAL. People seriously make me sooo sick and sooo ashamed to be an American.

Monogamy....

Ah the debate on Monogamy. I really go back and forth on this way. Is it ethics that make us this way or religion? Or is it really human nature to be with monogamous?

According to Dictionary.com Monogamy is: The practice or condition of having a single sexual partner during a period of time.

Hmmm... A single sexual partner... Hmmm... I'm up in the air on this one.

The Pro's of being monogamous:

1) You don't have to worry about diseases. If your with one partner and you both are faithful and from prior testing you know both parties are clean then their is no worries about STD's or other fun diseases. Depending on your birth control method or the orientation this can lead to use of not as much protection ya know?

2) Comfort in familiarity. If you've been with one person for a long period of time their is this level of comfort and togetherness that is formed. When we have an intimate relationship with one person and just one person a bond forms like no other bond. This one person knows us better than anyone else including our parents. There is an understanding and just overall comfort with this one person.

3) Know eachother's shit. Everyone has skeletons in the closet, when forming a new relationship sometimes is hard to let someone else know your shit and their is always the anxious feeling of what do they think of me now? Are they judging me? Do they think less of me? So on and so forth. When you have a monogamous relationship this person not only knows your past but they look past and accept it and love you for who you are. Plus when your with someone for awhile they start to understand when your having a shitty day when you need time alone or need to be comforted.

4) Deeper Intimacy. A deep intimacy or intimacy at all doesn't develop with jump offs and one-night stands. Intimacy especially deep intimacy develops over time. Life is a roller coaster with ups and downs. When couples fight through challenges together and get through struggles the bond becomes deeper and deeper.

5) Strong family connections. As long as both partners have a significant family tie when couples are together for long periods of time you also build a relationship with your partners family and they build one with yours. It makes the connection between you and your partner stronger and more meaningful.

The Cons of being monogamous:

1) Your with one person for a long period of time. Hello red flags get shot up all over the place. Trust! Weird you would think that this would be under a pro but eh I dunno. You place so much trust into one person, well that can't be good. You develop a strong relationship with another person and they know your shit and your relationship gets fucked up? Eh well now you have a pissed off person that knows all your shit. Trust can shatter and if your in a monogamous relationship and your trust gets broken. Well that shit can fuck you for a long time after the relationship is done and gone.

2) Boring! After a while your with one person it has to get boring. You've already done everything together you already know what your partner likes and dislikes. Their is no more spark on spontaneity. Oh, and the sex ugh boring as well. You know what the person is going to do how they going to touch before they even do it. Its like stealing the playbook from the opposing team. You know what play they are going to run at what time. No bueno.

3) Is it natural? Many animals do not practice monogamy. They mate and then do their own thing. Next time they have a different partner. Its all about diversity. If you think about it monogamy stumps diversity. Your with one person you pop out 3 kids that have similar genetics. You have multiple partners even if you have 3 kids they have similar genetics hence make a society more diverse. Ask Darwin.

4) Temptation. Ahh temptation. You can't hide from it, it is everywhere. If your monogamous you can either ignore but that gets really really hard after awhile especially if you can't eliminate the temptation or act on it then start a whole web of lies and deception and its o so complicated. People get hurt its not a good time for anyone. Put your not monogamous and your tempted then to do what comes natural everyone is happy.

5) Taking eachother for granted. When your with one person for a long period of time it is impossible to take your partner for granted. You know you can kinda fuck up and they aren't going to be willing to throw away a 3 year relationship. You forget to pick up the dry cleaning, again, or you forget to clean the floors like you promised you would, again. But you don't really forget. Admit it you just don't feel like doing it and really what is the consequence? They might get mad maybe ignore you for a little while but who doesn't love a little alone time? It is natural to take people for granted and it sucks.

That is just the tip of the iceberg my friend on monogamy. In perfect world open relationships would be the thing to have ya know? You have your main person but your allowed to fuck around with other people if you want. Nothing intimate really, just a get in get off get out kinda thing. And you always have that one person to go back to. Of course you would have a don't ask don't tell policy. It sounds good on paper but humans have one thing most animals don't have an emotional conscious and their is this little called jealousy that fucks everything up. Eh I dunno.

What do you think?

More research needs to be done on this debate. Until next time!

Music and Politics!

Music can be a very influential media in everyone's lives. Music can affect how we dress, who we hang out with, what hobbies we pick up, and also our political view points. I feel that especially with teens and young adults politics is just something that old men talk about its boring and eh no one really cares. Ask any 18 year old about our current foreign policy they will probably just look at you like you have 2 heads. And that's not necessarily a bad thing we have the rest of our lives to realize how shitty the world really is and how nothing we do is gonna change all the fucked up shit that is going on. Plus politics are so shady and corrupted its better off to be oblivious to what is going on.

With that being said, teens and young adults most likely won't be watching presidential elections, debates, reading newspaper articles, but they are listening to music. Some bands use their music to not so much preach but I can't think of a better word their political views. This can be very influential to the listener and in turn can get them somewhat interested in politics. A lot of the political bands I listen to are all very liberal bands that are border lining anarchy but they have a lot of good things to say and get across. And what better way to get your political ideology than listening to it being sung or screamed to awesome beats. Sure beats reading it or listen to some boring guy talk about it.

My favorite political bands:
1) Against Me!
2) Anti-Flag
3) Bad Religion
4) Boysetsfire
5) Comeback Kid
6) Desaparecidos
7) Gold Finger
8) The International Noise Conspiracy
9) Leftover Crack
10) Pennywise
11) Pipedown
12) Propagandhi
13) Rise Against
14) Strike Anywhere
15) Strung Out
16) System of a Down

Check out some videos!!!

1)Rise Agaisnt: Ready to Fall
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dScutbJpHoA
The video is very graphic so I suggest that you that precaution cause its really sad and really fucked up. It shows the terrible things people do to animals and the planet.

2) Anti-Flag: This Is The End (For You My Friend)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adjNEcbzOOA
The video shows mostly the band playing but will show statistics mostly on how the media portrays what we should look like and how the media affects the youth. The stats alone are scary.

3) Rise Against: Prayer of the Refugee
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iOtM5bOS84
The video is about how the United States out sources most of its product manufacturing to other countries where child labor laws and other labor laws are not in effect to make products cheaper to gain more profit. At the end of the video is "Fair Trade?" outlined in broken electronics.

4) The International Noise Conspiracy: Smash It Up
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyjmCg_VMU0
The video is mostly or the song really is about how the system is unfair and how some people really don't have a chance to succeed.

5) System of a Down: Boom
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7yAO-QCSWA
Its a video that shows a worldwide convention for peace and how many people don't want war. The song is about the negative parts of war that the government tries to hide from the public ie: killing children and innocent people. It also has a funny carton of George Bush and Bin Laden riding bombs lol.

6) Pennywise: Fuck Authority
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxsZ-CAmASU
The video shows people in power abusing their power. Such as the police beating innocent people. The lyrics to the song accuse the government of lying to the public.

7) Bad Religion: American Jesus
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Oe_Rxt9wB0
The video shows the commercialization of Jesus and how people use religion to justify certain behaviors. The song states that the USA forces it's Christianity and morals onto other countries. Even though the United States claims to be the melting pot and all religions are welcome and respected we all know this is not true.

That's just a few video for you to enjoy. I might post more at another time. But I suggest you check them out. Some might make you uncomfortable and even angry.
I'll leave this quote for you to ponder

"Real revolution begins at learning. If you’re not angry, you’re not paying attention" ~Time McIlrath (Rise Against)

The "L" Word

No I am not talking about the awesome tv show called The L Word which is about lesbians in LA. I am talking about the "L" word that gets thrown around way too much and is over used. The "L" word that can make you feel soo good inside and at the same time rip your insides out. The "L" word that can make you feel so nervous that your stomach is doing flips inside your body or that butterflies are going crazy inside of you. The "L" word that can destroy your world and hurt you more than any physical pain ever could. The "L" word that is said too much too often and has lost its meaning. The "L" word that is almost everyone's dream to have and to never let go.

This "L" word is the word love. According to dictionary.com Love is a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person. We all know there are several different types of love. Like we all have love for things, such as I love volleyball. And we all have love for our families. And we all have love for our friends. Each step up the risk of getting hurt increases. But what we don't have is the intimate real love for another person. The head over heels sick to your stomach real love for another partner. This kind of love is so unbelievable scary. It personally scares the shit out of me. You leave yourself completely vulnerable and open to another person with the risk of getting completely crushed and hurt. It is one of the best and worst feelings in the world being in love with someone. It is amazing to feel that way about another person but at the same sometimes I feel like is it always worth it?

According to Urbandictionary.com:
This love is unconditional affection with no limits or conditions: completely loving someone. It's when you trust the other with your life and when you would do anything for each other. When you love someone you want nothing more than for them to be truly happy no matter what it takes because that's how much you care about them and because their needs come before your own. You hide nothing of yourself and can tell the other anything because you know they accept you just the way you are and vice versa.

Is it really that healthy to be that much in love? Is it normal to put someone's needs in front of your own? Is it smart to tell someone everything about yourself and to hide nothing at all? Should you do whatever it takes for one person and sacrifice everything? I'm not sure what the answers are of if their is a right answer to these questions. Maybe you can tell me
